MAID CAFE
What is a Maid Cafe?

A maid café is a type of themed restaurant that originated in Japan, where the staff (usually young women) dress in French maid costumes and act as if they are personal servants. These cafes often emphasize customer service with a playful or cute (kawaii) atmosphere. Maids might perform small rituals or acts of service, such as drawing cute designs on food, addressing the customer with polite language, or performing short dances or songs for entertainment. They sometimes offer games or photo sessions for an additional fee, creating a light-hearted, interactive environment. Maid cafés have become popular tourist attractions in Japan and can now be found in other parts of the world, often at anime and pop culture conventions.

At Beaver State Comic Con, we are excited to have a local pop-up maid cafe, Cherrybomb Maid Cafe, joining us for this year's show.
